Christian Education Ministry
develops and coordinates programs, such as the New Member Institute, Vacation Bible School, and the Discipleship Classes which facilitate the spiritual growth of our church family.
Midweek Joy
is the time at which our members come together with the pastor for an in- depth study of the scriptures. Each week at Midweek Joy, Pastor Waters continues to develop the themes and concepts presented in the Sunday sermon. And the members have an opportunity to ask questions about points of scripture and gain a deeper understanding of the Word of God.
Joy Family (Joy Fam’) Groups.
The A.M.E. Church has always had a means whereby each and every member would be nurtured and none left out. This was a small group system called classes. The Joy Family Groups are our 21st Century vision of this time- honored, tried and true tradition.
Prayer Support Ministry
is designed to encourage and uplift the members of Joy. Through this ministry we intercede for the general and stated needs of our members; we seek to strengthen their personal prayer life; we provide opportunities for the Joy Church Family to participate in corporate prayer. And together we rejoice in the praise reports from answered prayer.
