The community at Joy Tabernacle is one that seeks to serve the surrounding area and its members with several ministries. Of the several that are listed below, they are geared toward adults and target promoting and sustaining the Christian life, particularly through unite men and women in matrimony or in groups focusing on men helping men, and women helping women. The ministries create the space for God to work and speak in the community. Community is where God works and community is what Joy Tabernacle wants to support and grow.
Covenant Joy
is our ministry to married and engaged couples. At Joy, we understand that the husband/wife relationship is at the heart of the family and society. The goal of this ministry is to foster the development of godly unions through an understanding of the Word of God. This ministry also seeks to support, to encourage and to undergird the relationships of our married and engaged couples, creating a stronger family, community and church. To join, contact Brother Donovan and Sister Latasha Freeman.
Women’s Ministries Women of Joy
is the ministry which allows women to explore the meaning of Christ in their lives. Here they delve into the Word of God and its viable application to their unique circumstances and needs as women. This ministry is designed to provide each woman with a sense of her purpose in life and her role in Kingdom Building. To join, contact First Lady Yulise Waters.
Daughters of Lydia
is our outreach ministry for women 40 years and above. This ministry provides a support system, an outlet, fellowship and service opportunities for women at this stage of life. To join, contact Sister Lynn Carol Bowen.
Men’s Ministries Men of Joy
is the ministry where men are encouraged to be the leaders they are called to be. Through this ministry the Biblical concepts of a man’s role in the life of their homes, their communities and their church are explored. And their place in Kingdom building is
affirmed. To join, contact, Pastor Waters.
